Otley All Saint bellringers aim to engage the local community at every opportunity.

Recent events include a visit to Otley All Saints Primary School by ringer Rob Claxton Ingham (pictured with pupils below). 

...... and this was followed by a visit to the tower!

In September the tower was open over three days for Heritage Weekend (see below) when nearly 200 visitors had the opportunity to climb the spiral stairs to the ringing chamber, up a few more to the clock chamber, and finally up the last flight to the belfry itself.  The parish church ringers were on hand to explain and demonstrate the basics of bell-ringing and show visitors the workings of the church clock - built in 1793 and still going strong.  At the top of the tower they were shown the eight bells and were able to see at first hand the condition of the frame, the wheels and other fittings which are urgently in need of refurbishment
